Summary:
Massachusetts seeks a vendor to develop a strategic plan, branding, and public engagement for its Urban Wilds Program.
(1) Vendor needs to provide urban wilds strategic plan service. – Conduct background research to sufficiently familiarize themselves with the Urban Wilds Program and other planning efforts. – Develop and execute a strategy for engaging key management partners and the general public in the development of the urban wilds strategic plan. – The structure, identities, and practices of natural areas programs in other communities can provide insights into potential changes. – A branding guide that includes a logo and broader brand identity that can be used for signage, outreach materials, and public events that can be used across the Urban Wilds Program, and by partners where appropriate. – The consultant shall gather all of the feedback and analysis and work with staff to prepare a draft Plan which will present an overarching fifteen–year vision for the urban wilds program to guide decision–making and a five–year roadmap for internal changes and investments. – Public engagement process that assesses needs, community challenges and opportunities, and appropriate levels of service for the program in order to shape the strategic plan and build awareness of the urban wilds program. – Electronic copies of all applicable presentations and photos used at public meetings. – A clearly defined program vision and set of goals to guide decision–making processes. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than December 11, 2025. (3) The contract period will be for two years. (4) Pre–proposal conference will be held on December 09, 2025.
