The state of Massachusetts is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a comprehensive strategic plan for its Urban Wilds Program. The selected consultant will be responsible for conducting thorough background research to gain an understanding of the existing Urban Wilds Program and related planning initiatives. The scope includes developing a robust public engagement strategy to involve key management partners and the general public in the planning process.

The project requires the creation of a branding guide, including a new logo and brand identity, to be implemented on signage, outreach materials, and public events throughout the Urban Wilds Program and by its partners. The consultant will gather stakeholder feedback and analysis to collaborate with program staff in preparing a draft plan. This plan will outline a fifteen-year vision for the program, a clearly defined set of goals and decision-making processes, and a detailed five-year roadmap for internal changes and investments.

Additionally, the vendor will lead a public engagement process to evaluate community needs, challenges, opportunities, and appropriate service levels, shaping the strategic plan and raising awareness of the Urban Wilds Program. All applicable presentations and photographs used during public meetings will be provided in electronic format. The contract is anticipated to run for two years.
