The City of Connecticut is seeking qualified vendors to implement a unified communications platform aimed at enhancing and consolidating citywide communications infrastructure. The primary objective is to establish a comprehensive solution that enables the convergence of different communication systems, including support for contact center as a service (CCaaS) capabilities within the overall Unified Communications framework.
Vendors are expected to provide a detailed description of their proposed solution architecture, including network and component diagrams as well as information about quantities, physical setup, environmental needs, and power requirements. Proposals should address scalability and how the system will accommodate future growth. Technical specifications must include recommended network and endpoint configurations, particularly for agents working remotely, as well as details on integration with existing telephony systems and support for a unified dial plan across various PBX extensions and system stations.
Additional considerations include the need for gateways to support global agents, historical data on system availability over the past three years, and strategies for seamless interoperability. All questions regarding the proposal must be submitted by February 19, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 12, 2026.
