Illinois state agencies are inviting vendors to provide comprehensive UI/UX design services aimed at redesigning and improving their existing websites. The objective is to deliver modern, user-centered website designs that enhance usability, accessibility, and the overall experience for both public users and internal stakeholders.

Vendors will be responsible for creating intuitive navigation structures, establishing clear and consistent user interface elements, and organizing content in a manner that allows users to efficiently locate and comprehend information. Designs must adhere to accessibility compliance requirements, support mobile responsiveness, and incorporate performance best practices. An important aspect of the project is enabling agencies to efficiently maintain and update website content over time.

In addition to initial design, the selected vendor will provide ongoing maintenance and operational support to maintain website performance, usability, and quality following launch. Services will include user research and validation, UX writing and microcopy, the development of UI components and style guides, and the creation of mockups and prototypes. The vendor will ensure the secure and successful rollout of redesigned or newly developed websites, fully meeting technical, operational, and user readiness standards.
