The government authority in Colorado is seeking a vendor to provide services for TV translator systems across three translator sites. The scope includes routine maintenance and necessary repairs to help ensure continuous broadcast service with a level of reliability comparable to major television broadcast stations, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The selected vendor is expected to identify system problems and propose a solution within twelve hours of a failure during business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and within twenty-four hours outside normal business hours. Required capabilities and equipment include tools to measure MER, data bit error rate, and signal strength for translator inputs and outputs, as well as a tracking generator or vector network analyzer for filter and antenna testing and alignment.
The vendor should also have field-support equipment suitable for remote maintenance work, including a snowmobile with cargo sled capable of carrying 100 pounds, a portable generator sufficient for routine maintenance, and a portable TV set for field signal evaluation. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 20, 2026, and questions must be submitted by May 27, 2026.
