The city of Houston, TX is seeking professional engineering services to serve as a technical advisor for its surface water treatment plants. The selected firm will provide on-call engineering support, addressing immediate repair or replacement needs, and offering guidance to enhance the performance of three water treatment facilities.

Key responsibilities include reviewing engineering reports and design documents for technical compliance, evaluating operational procedures, and recommending resource optimization strategies that may incorporate emerging technologies. The advisor will also assist with regulatory compliance, including coordination, reporting, and analysis of changes related to capital or operations and maintenance driven by evolving requirements.

Additional duties encompass updating the asset management database, drafting a Capital Improvement Plan that prioritizes projects based on risk and operational continuity, and conducting evaluations and design services as requested.
