Washoe County is soliciting proposals to develop a comprehensive Sun Valley Economic Development Strategy. The project involves an existing conditions assessment, market analysis, community and stakeholder engagement, development of an economic strategy with short, medium, and long-term goals, and an implementation plan. The strategy must address workforce development, commercial corridor revitalization, mixed-use development, affordable housing, small business development, recreation and tourism, transportation connectivity, and infrastructure investment. The final deliverable is a written report and presentations to the Sun Valley Citizens Advisory Board and the Washoe County Board of County Commissioners.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold an active and valid Nevada State Business License
  • Must be registered as a foreign business entity in Nevada if based out of state
  • Must maintain General Liability insurance of $2,000,000 per occurrence
  • Must maintain Automobile Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per accident
  • Must maintain Professional Errors and Omissions Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence
  • Must maintain Technology Professional Liability and Network Security/Privacy insurance of $5,000,000 per claim
  • Must maintain Crime Insurance of $2,000,000 per occurrence
  • Must not be on the State of Nevada, Federal, or County debarment and suspension lists
