The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology, is gathering information from industry regarding its Summit Data Platform (Summit) solution. The goal is to evolve the Summit platform with enhanced capabilities, including streamlined customer onboarding, migration and data architecture modernization, governance and compliance, data science and AI enablement, improved customer experience and support, as well as change management and training. Key areas of interest include technical approaches for delivering a comprehensive data analytics platform, recommendations for architectural components and technologies, strategies for scalability and data management, and robust cybersecurity solutions aligning with federal standards such as FedRAMP and Zero Trust. Respondents are also asked to outline staffing models, capability for supporting cloud migration, and methodologies for data governance and continuity, particularly for modernizing and migrating existing CDW data products and workloads to the cloud.
