DESCRIPTION


The government authority in Portland, Oregon seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive structural engineering services for upcoming projects. Services will include a full range of design and construction administration support throughout the entire project lifecycle.

During the project assessment and preliminary design phase, the selected consultant will conduct investigations and review all relevant federal, state, local, and agency standards, codes, and regulations affecting the project. This includes identifying design issues related to functionality, needs, directives, and constraints, as well as incorporating considerations for energy, historic preservation, and other factors with jurisdiction or influence over the project.

The provider will also lead schematic design development and the preparation of construction documents, including performing life-cycle cost analysis and supplying decision-support information regarding major building systems. Additional responsibilities encompass construction phase administration, the facilitation of post-construction closeout and punch list processes, and assistance with any warranty issue resolutions.

Furthermore, the consultant will coordinate seismic grant reporting, delivering analyses and documentation required by the State to support grant issuance and project compliance.
