The government authority located in Stone Mountain, Georgia is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive audit services focused on special education programs and operations. The selected firm will be responsible for developing and executing a detailed audit plan and timeline, conducting an independent and objective assessment using recognized audit and evaluation standards, and coordinating with district leadership to obtain necessary documents, data, and personnel access.
The audit will examine compliance, non-compliance, operational inefficiencies, and best practices within special education services. The vendor is expected to maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy laws and district requirements, provide evidence-based findings and analysis, and develop prioritized recommendations for improvement. Deliverables include draft and final written audit reports, as well as presentations of findings and recommendations to district leadership and other designated stakeholders.
An optional pre-bid conference will be held on May 21, 2026, and questions must be submitted by May 28, 2026. The resulting contract is anticipated to have a one-year term.
