The government authority in Bristol, Connecticut is seeking a vendor to provide special education audit services for the district's special education program, services, and systems. The selected firm will be expected to conduct a comprehensive review of program effectiveness, compliance, operational practices, and student outcomes.
The audit will include evaluation of student outcome data and data collection measures, including IEP goal attainment, graduation rates, and post-secondary readiness. The scope also covers policies, procedures, administrative guidelines, IEP samples, compliance documentation, staffing and caseload data, budget and expenditure reports including high-cost placements, and discipline, attendance, and achievement data for students with disabilities.
Additional review areas include previous audits or monitoring reports, inclusion practices and Least Restrictive Environment implementation, specialized programs such as autism, behavioral, and life skills services, and transition planning with post-secondary supports. Questions related to the solicitation must be submitted no later than May 25, 2026.
