A government authority in New Jersey seeks vendors to provide cooperative research and development services for a Screening System Data Consortium. The aim is to facilitate data sharing to support the advancement and deployment of more sophisticated threat detection software.
This initiative will create opportunities for equipment manufacturers and software developers to form strategic partnerships through participation in the consortium. The framework for a Consortium Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) will be finalized following stakeholder input. The CRADA will enable the sharing of x-ray computed tomography data from baggage, personal property, and air cargo screening systems, as well as millimeter wave data from on-person screening systems.
This effort intends to advance threat detection capabilities by leveraging shared data and fostering collaboration between industry participants.
