DESCRIPTION


The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Caribbean District, issued a sources sought notice to identify interested and qualified firms for a potential multiple-award task-order contract (MATOC) supporting construction projects in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This notice is for market research only and is intended to help the Government shape its acquisition strategy for a future design-build and design-bid-build procurement.

The planned MATOC would support new facilities construction, repair, alteration, renovation, and maintenance of real property for federal and other public-sector operations in the region. Anticipated work may include building construction, road and pavement repair, excavation, plumbing, demolition, electrical, structural, mechanical, concrete, and environmental remedial work such as hazardous waste abatement and disposal. The contract may also include water and power infrastructure projects, including generation, transmission, and distribution.

The potential contract would have an ordering period of up to five years, with shared capacity among awardees estimated between $99 million and $249.9 million. The overall base contract magnitude is estimated between $25 million and $100 million, while individual task orders may range from $500,000 to $100 million, with a practical ceiling of approximately $80 million per task order. The NAICS code identified for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction.

Interested vendors are asked to submit a capability statement describing company information and relevant experience, including work in Puerto Rico and/or the U.S. Virgin Islands, federal construction projects, building renovations and repairs, horizontal and vertical construction, water and power infrastructure, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across several construction trades.
