The government authority in Washington, DC is seeking a vendor to provide a robust universal adaptive denoising technology service for acoustic frequency sensing applications. The work focuses on developing concepts for a denoising approach that requires minimal training while remaining effective in highly nonstationary or otherwise complex noise environments.
The scope includes modeling and simulation, along with laboratory measurements, to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach for in-air or ground-based mobile acoustic sensing systems. The selected vendor is expected to develop and demonstrate an end-to-end denoising solution in a laboratory setting and ultimately in a representative operational environment.
Prototype assessment is expected to address both narrowband and broadband noise removal performance while preserving desired signal characteristics. The solution should also demonstrate robustness under non-stationary noise conditions.
