The agency is seeking a vendor to provide public relations services focused on strategic planning, media relations, and promotional support. The selected contractor will be expected to develop, implement, and optimize annual strategic media relations plans that identify key priorities, initiatives, and opportunities for pitching and promotion.
The scope includes identifying relevant local, regional, domestic, and international media outlets, key publications, and social influencers aligned with the agency’s promotional objectives. The vendor will coordinate public relations activities with paid media, social media, and advertising efforts to support a unified marketing approach.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining current media lists and editorial contacts by audience segment, fulfilling reactive and proactive media requests, distributing press releases to appropriate media outlets, and developing a calendar of story ideas tied to brand identity and core initiatives. The vendor will also track editorial calendars, pitch brand-focused opportunities, craft talking points, and provide media training for agency and county executives as needed.
