DESCRIPTION

A school seeks a vendor to design, procure, install, and support a public address system aimed at enhancing communication, safety, and emergency preparedness across school premises.

The scope of work includes conducting a comprehensive site assessment and acoustical survey to determine optimal locations for speakers, amplifiers, and control interfaces. The selected vendor will supply commercial-grade audio components, such as 70V/100V line distributed speakers and amplifiers with appropriate headroom and protection features. All cabling must be plenum-rated, and a UL-listed 19” equipment rack with proper power distribution, cable management, and ventilation will be provided.

Installation covers setup of all speakers, cabling infrastructure, and system configuration. The contractor will perform thorough testing using SPL meters, tone generators, and signal analyzers to ensure coverage uniformity (within ±3 dB SPL) and voice audio intelligibility (STI ≥ 0.6). The system must support multi-source central control, flexible zone broadcasting, microphones, emergency announcement integration (auto-muting standard messages), and a UPS backup offering at least 30 minutes runtime for essential equipment. On-site operational training for administrators and staff, along with detailed user manuals, quick-start guides, and schematics, are required as part of handover.

A mandatory pre-bid information session is scheduled for June 15, 2026. Vendors must submit questions by June 18, 2026.
