The Social Security Administration (SSA) is preparing to issue a solicitation for contractors to perform alterations and repairs at several SSA headquarters facilities. The buildings included are the Perimeter East Building, Supply Building, SSA Main Complex, and Child Care Center—all located on Security Boulevard in Baltimore, Maryland—as well as the National Support Center in Urbana, Frederick County, Maryland.
This opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses. SSA anticipates awarding multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts with provisions for issuing Firm Fixed Price task orders. The IDIQ contracts will span a 12-month base period, with up to four 12-month option periods. Selected contractors will have a fair opportunity to compete for individual task orders as needs arise.
Interested small businesses should note that the solicitation is expected to be released around May 29, 2026, with proposals likely due 30 days afterward. All updates and amendments will be available through the SAM.gov and Fedconnect.net websites.
