DESCRIPTION

The Township of Cherry Hill is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to serve as a Planning Consultant for Land Use and Development Reviews. The consultant will assist the Department of Community Development with technical reviews of land use and development applications, attend Planning Board and Zoning Board meetings as needed, and perform other land use-related work. The appointment is for the 2027 calendar year. The consultant must demonstrate knowledge of the Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A 40:55D-1 et seq.) and have staff capacity to review applications and testify at public meetings.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Staff providing services must be licensed to provide professional planning services in New Jersey
Staff providing services must be certified with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)
Project managers must have at least ten years of municipal experience
Must have knowledge of the Municipal Land Use Law (N.J.S.A 40:55D-1 et seq.)
Must have knowledge of 'Positive' and 'Negative' criteria for variances under N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70
Must maintain Workers Compensation, General Liability, Automobile, and Professional Liability insurance
Must provide proof of business registration in New Jersey
