KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to provide PI System Administration Services for up to five years
Must be able to provide 7x24 on-call support for critical PI system components
Must be able to coordinate with AESO on all remote and onsite access to AESO Infrastructure
Must have or be willing to develop policies and procedures to address security incidents and vulnerabilities
Must have or be willing to develop a software development security program
Must have or be willing to develop a personnel risk assessment program including background checks
Must be able to provide evidence of compliance with the Workers' Compensation Act (Alberta)
Must be able to maintain required insurance coverage including commercial general liability, employer's liability, professional liability, and automobile liability

DESCRIPTION

The agency is seeking a vendor to provide a PI administration solution, including comprehensive Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) services for ongoing PI software and hardware application upgrades and refreshes. The project encompasses account management services such as hiring, oversight, control, scheduling, cross training, security checks, and provisioning of vacation and training backfill for personnel involved.

Vendors are expected to deliver managed services for PI systems administration, supporting both the agency’s PI system and related technology environments. Emergency services, including 24/7 on-call support for critical PI system components, are required. Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for project services related to PI system administration, management, creation and distribution of reports, and any project-specific emergencies outside of the regular engagement scope.

The contract will be for a five-year term, and questions must be submitted by June 11, 2026.
