DESCRIPTION

Surry County, Virginia, is requesting proposals to establish multiple on-call contracts for professional engineering and related small architectural services for the Department of Planning & Community Development. Services include water and wastewater engineering, land use planning, public buildings and facilities engineering, civil engineering, surveying, GIS, construction administration, and grant assistance. The initial contract term is one year, with the option to renew for up to three additional one-year terms. Work will be assigned through individually negotiated task orders.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have professional personnel, equipment, software, and transportation necessary to complete assigned work
Professional services requiring licensure must be performed under the responsible charge of individuals licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Must comply with all State and Federal guidelines including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Age Discrimination Act
Must comply with President’s Executive Orders #12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE/DBE firms
Must provide Commercial General Liability Insurance with a combined limit of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence
Must provide Automobile Liability Insurance with a combined limit of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence
Must provide Statutory Workers’ Compensation and Employers’ Liability Insurance with the Alternate Employer Endorsement WC 000301
Must provide Professional Liability Insurance or Errors and Omissions Insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000 per claim/occurrence
