SUMMARY

Ireland is seeking a SaaS-based Microsoft 365 backup and data protection solution, including support for an existing Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup environment. The requirement emphasizes recovery, secure storage, authentication support, education-sector licensing, and structured incident and exit management.

DESCRIPTION

The contracting organization seeks a fully SaaS, cloud-native solution for Microsoft 365 data backup, recovery, and protection. The requirement includes the provision, management, and support of an existing Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup service to strengthen organizational resilience, data protection, and recovery capabilities. The service must not require any on-premises or customer-managed infrastructure.

The solution is expected to support point-in-time recovery, retention management, and secure off-platform storage for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID data. Covered workloads include Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams. The service must also provide unlimited storage for Microsoft 365 backup data and support Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication.

Additional requirements include an education-sector subscription model, with student licensing incorporated into faculty licensing where applicable. Vendors must also provide a documented exit management plan that is reviewed periodically and backed by a contractual exit clause valid for the full contract term, along with an incident management process covering outages, escalation paths, contact points, call logging, and service level commitments.
