An airport in Virginia is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver and support a LiDAR-based passenger analytics and queue management solution. The selected provider will design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive system using off-the-shelf LiDAR sensors and appropriate mounting hardware to capture people count data, dwell times, and wait times in specified locations throughout the airport.
The system is expected to deliver real-time updates on passenger wait times and counts, ensuring both passengers and airport operations teams have access to accurate, up-to-date information. The LiDAR technology should reliably monitor the flow of passengers, accommodate high and low traffic periods without loss of accuracy or performance, and provide high-precision spatial measurements with synchronized data across all sensors. The solution should include remote diagnostics, automated calibration, and minimal manual configuration for ease of maintenance by IT staff.
A centralized dashboard must be provided to visualize system status, performance metrics, and analytics across multiple sites. In addition, the software should offer both historical and real-time data analysis to support operational decision-making and predictive forecasting.
