Landing Platform Dock Flight II Detailed Design and Construction

This notice is a sources sought announcement issued for information and planning purposes to aid PAE Maritime in developing a potential procurement strategy for Landing Platform Dock (LPD) Flight II Detailed Design and Construction (DD&C). The Government is conducting market research to identify shipyards with the capability and capacity to undertake the engineering, planning, management, labor, material, and facility requirements for the detailed design and construction of LPDs, which are to be built at the awarded contractor’s facility.

Respondents must have facilities suited to support vessels with characteristics including a length of 684 feet, a beam of 105 feet, displacement of 25,300 tons, and a draft of 23 feet at full load. The Government seeks information that will help assess the existing industrial base, potential facility investment needs, and establish feasible schedules for production readiness. Interested parties are invited to submit relevant information about their shipyard, industrial capacity, and anticipated schedule and cost impacts of facility expansions, with all submissions including a one-page cover page outlining company and entity details. No detailed proposals are to be submitted at this stage.
