Summary:
Seeking a vendor to deliver integrated population models and a web interface for wildlife management in Nevada.
(1) Vendor needs to provide integrated population models solution. • Deliver an updatable web interface that ingests new data as it arrives, and equip biologists to use the tool through a 1–2–day hands–on training • Build integrated population models for mule deer and pronghorn that fuse aerial counts, radio–telemetry survival, habitat indices, and harvest data to estimate population size, survival, recruitment, and their drivers, while clearly separating biological (process) variation from sampling error • Document workflows and provide clear guidance, so the harvest management and quota projections are maintainable and reproducible over time • Integrated population models (IPMs) are advanced statistical models that offer a new approach to modeling wildlife populations that incorporate multiple sources of data such as count data from helicopter observations, survival data from radio–collared animals, habitat conditions (e.g. precipitation, winter severity index), and harvest data.
