The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District issued a Request for Information / Sources Sought notice to assess industry capabilities for a potential Integrated Design and Construction (IDaC) requirement at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The effort would support pre-construction activities and construction of secure facilities compliant with ICD-705 requirements, in alignment with Air Force Central Command needs and the Al Udeid Air Base 2040 Strategic Master Plan.
Potential projects may include hardened underground combat center buildings, squadron operations buildings for multiple airframe and mission types, secure administrative headquarters, command and control and operational support facilities, secure warehouse facilities, and life support buildings. The scope may also include site security and access control features such as guard houses, perimeter fencing, intrusion detection systems, CCTV surveillance, and related physical and electronic security measures.
Additional work may involve site infrastructure and building systems including parking, parking garages, antenna yards, and shelter buildings. The notice is for market research and acquisition planning purposes only and is intended to identify firms capable of providing both engineering and construction services under an alternative delivery model.
