A government authority in Lansing, Michigan is seeking an insurance broker to provide employee benefits brokerage and advisory services. The selected vendor will conduct regular meetings and provide reporting to Township staff in Human Resources, Finance, and Administration, while supporting oversight of employee benefits programs and related plan performance.
Services include annual benefits plan performance review and analysis covering claims, enrollment, and other key metrics to help maximize value to the Township. The broker will also assist with proactive review of group health insurance program costs, preparation of routine management reports, development of budget rates, identification of cost drivers, monitoring of rate sufficiency, and review of plan design and wording to improve program economy and efficiency.
The scope also includes consulting and technical support for online open enrollment and onboarding benefits services, including transition assistance if a new system is proposed. In addition, the vendor is expected to provide responsive customer service to employees and their dependents by answering coverage questions, helping secure coverage, and assisting with required paperwork through the agency's Human Resource Department. Questions are due by May 21, 2026.
