DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Lumberton, North Carolina is seeking a vendor to provide information technology and computer support services under a one-year contract. The selected provider will be responsible for ongoing IT operations and support across the organization's network and computer systems.
Scope of work includes basic network system maintenance such as establishing and enforcing protocols, performing setups, troubleshooting issues, administering print and peripheral functions, assessing system configurations, installing or overseeing installation of hardware and software, and conducting system backups. The vendor will also be responsible for maintaining the security and protection of the entire system, including virus protection, access controls, security code maintenance, physical network security, disaster preparation and prevention, and upkeep of backup systems.
Additional responsibilities include maintenance of the Microsoft Office 365 virtual environment, management of the SharePoint environment, and support for internet and email capacity. The contractor must maintain detailed records of all activities through daily upkeep of the IT department work order tracking system, develop operating manuals for all assigned areas in an approved format, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
