Summary:
Missouri seeks a vendor to design and implement a high-accuracy GPS mapping system with LiDAR and GIS integration for municipal waste collection.
(1) Vendor needs to provide GPS mapping system. • Design, develop, and build a mobile mapping platform with high–accuracy GPS/GNSS sensor for mapping municipal alley waste bins at high spatial–fidelity using an optical camera–based detection system. • The mapping platform will also deploy high–resolution light detection and ranging (LiDAR) to create 3–dimensional maps of alley road conditions and create digital maps of alleyways where waste collection takes place, including permanent obstacles such as poles, trees, and other vegetation, enabling more accurate spatial modeling of alley accessibility and collection routes. It will orchestrate all data pertinent to waste bins and alleyways in an Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS), managed by the city. • Design and implement a geospatial data dashboard that synthesizes GPS telemetry from waste collection vehicles, route geographies, and bin inventory locations. • The dashboard will incorporate automated route optimization scripts that dynamically update turn by turn navigation and collection sequences in accordance with the route maps designed in the dashboard.
