DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Boca Raton, Florida, seeks a qualified vendor to conduct a comprehensive GIS-based inventory of approximately 9,000 agency-maintained trees located within public rights-of-way and selected critical municipal facilities. The one-year engagement will include project initiation and coordination, a detailed work plan, staffing and scheduling, data collection methodology, and quality assurance and quality control procedures.

The selected vendor will support public outreach and coordinate field activities to minimize disruption to residents and traffic. Field data collection must document each tree's scientific and common species names, diameter at breast height, height, east-west and north-south canopy spread, and condition rating. The vendor will perform data validation and quality control, provide a complete georeferenced tree inventory database, and deliver data compatible with the authority's existing GIS and tree management systems.

The work will also include analysis and reporting, including a comprehensive final report, recommendations for tree maintenance and risk mitigation, species selection and diversification, and maps and visualizations suitable for planning and public communication. Questions must be submitted by October 5, 2026.
