The Space Development Agency (SDA) is seeking information from industry regarding optical communication terminals designed for aircraft that can enable space-to-air links with SDA-compliant low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites within a 12-month timeframe.
The primary focus is on mature technologies that can be rapidly fielded for demonstration and transitioned to operational use. SDA is interested in products currently in production or in the late stages of development, which are suitable for installation on aircraft to facilitate space-to-air optical communications.
Industry respondents are encouraged to provide detailed information about their capabilities, products, and readiness levels to support upcoming space–to–air optical link testing and operations involving LEO satellites.
