The government authority in Peoria, Arizona is seeking a contractor to provide food and nutrition program services for vulnerable community members. Services include congregate meals, home-delivered meals, and operation of a food pantry serving low-income seniors, home-bound seniors, adults with disabilities, and youth.
The programs collectively serve approximately 29,000 meals, including about 10,000 congregate meals for roughly 230 unduplicated persons and 19,000 home-delivered meals. Congregate meals are typically served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hot home-delivered meals are provided Monday through Friday, with frozen meals delivered on Fridays to cover weekend needs.
The selected contractor is expected to deliver services in a professional, safe, sanitary, courteous, and client-centered manner. The contractor must ensure uninterrupted continuity of service throughout the contract term, provide adequately trained staff and/or supervised volunteers, and maintain all required licenses, permits, certifications, and approvals. The contract term is one year.
