The government authority in Malone, New York is seeking a vendor to provide aerial and underground fiber optic cable infrastructure construction services. The scope includes installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cable across both aerial and underground environments using methods such as vibratory plowing, directional boring, and other approved installation techniques.
The work also includes installation of related infrastructure such as handholes, flower pots, conduit, innerduct, pull string, caution utility tape, marker posts, and other associated hardware. The selected vendor will be responsible for pulling, placing, and securing fiber cable; performing fusion splicing and connectorization; and preparing fiber for termination at designated points.
In addition, the project requires optical testing and power meter testing, along with detailed test results and as-built documentation. Optical test results must be provided in .trc or .olts format, and as-built records must be submitted in PDF format. The vendor must also restore disturbed surfaces, including pavement and landscaping, comply with all applicable codes and safety requirements, and coordinate with utilities, municipalities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary clearances and permits. Questions are due by May 15, 2026.
