Engineering Consulting Services

The government authority in Shirley, MA is seeking qualified engineering consultants to support the review and design of improvements for sidewalks, streets, and intersections within the community. The selected engineering firm will be tasked with examining the designated project area and developing bid-ready recommendations for additions or enhancements to the local pedestrian and roadway infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Steering Committee and town staff to collect and analyze a wide array of project data. This data will encompass public input from residents, GIS datasets, traffic reports and studies, utility surveys, crash data, roadway safety audits, right-of-way plans, traffic counts, field surveys, and base plans. The scope of work also includes the collection and review of the Town's housing policies, multifamily housing overlay district, and analysis of maximum buildout traffic impacts for both vehicles and vulnerable road users. The goal of this project is to ensure carefully considered improvements that enhance safety, accessibility, and overall transportation efficiency for the community.
