DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Poquoson, Virginia is seeking engineering consultant services across multiple disciplines. Services will focus on storm water management, including assisting with grant applications, enhancement of large linear ditches, coastal project analysis and design, as well as the development of innovative storm water quality and flood control projects. Expertise in storm hazard mitigation is also required.
The selected consultant will provide structural engineering support for retaining walls and marine structures. Sanitary sewer work includes design of force main and gravity systems, knowledge of standards and requirements, and experience with pump station design, construction, and retrofitting, as well as hydraulic modeling.
For transportation engineering, the scope includes traffic analyses and counts, speed studies, and all aspects of road design and construction compliant with locally administered project requirements and guidelines.
