DESCRIPTION
The issuing agency is seeking a consultant to provide economic development strategy services in California. The scope of work includes progress analysis of the economic development strategy workplan, an economic data snapshot, industry cluster analysis, and the development of goals, strategies, and a workplan.
The selected consultant will begin with project initiation, working with staff to establish an overall approach for gathering initial data and preparing the strategy. The consultant will also conduct meetings with stakeholders, including identifying relevant business community groups and facilitating focus groups or interviews to inform the strategy development process.
Following stakeholder engagement and analysis, the consultant will prepare a draft economic development strategy for staff review, revise the draft based on feedback, and develop a draft report for presentation to the City Council. After receiving direction from the City Council and staff, the consultant will finalize and deliver the completed economic development strategy.
