(1) Vendor needs to provide driver’s license and identification card solution. – The DL/ID card solution shall contain services including customer image capture, signature capture, temporary paper documents, centralized card manufacturing/mailing of several DL/ID types and other DMV issued credentials. – Additional services and equipment that will be required include biometric identification processes and portable workstations. – The selected vendor is expected to provide the system solution, equipment procurement, and professional services necessary to configure, install, implement, document, test, host, train, and integrate with related systems. – The selected vendor will also provide ongoing maintenance and support for the proposed DL/ID card solution. • Procure a solution which will: – Replace the existing solution without the loss or deterioration in quality of any of the existing capabilities or services as described in the Background section of this document. – Increase the efficiency and effectiveness in conducting, processing, and monitoring DL/ID card transactions through state–of–the–art equipment and application technology. – Provide residents of Rhode Island access to a secure identity document resistant to fraud through biometric identification checks and issuance checks and balances and in the production of the physical card using latest industry card manufacturing materials and security features.
