DESCRIPTION

The Data Warehouse Modernization Initiative seeks a vendor to provide technology consulting services focused on modernizing and implementing a contemporary, enterprise-level data warehouse platform. This initiative is dedicated to evaluating, comparing, and deploying a platform that meets the organization's analytical, functional, and operational needs while establishing a scalable, cost-effective, and future-ready data environment.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive, data-driven evaluations of candidate platforms through stakeholder discovery and establishing measurable selection criteria. The selected vendor will be responsible for designing, configuring, and provisioning the data warehouse platform according to future-state architecture and industry best practices, covering environments such as development, QA, and production, as well as data integration, transformation tools, networking, connectivity, security, observability, and governance.

The scope also encompasses replacing existing siloed reporting systems, the design and implementation of end-to-end data pipelines, development of analytical and reporting solutions leveraging Power BI, and execution of user acceptance testing. Deliverables will include data marts, dashboards, and reporting solutions to support maintenance operations, asset management, inventory utilization, lifecycle tracking, as well as tools for operational cost analysis and performance metrics relevant to transit operations and customer experience.
