DESCRIPTION

The procuring organization is seeking information from vendors capable of providing a national data platform for law enforcement calls for service (CFS). The platform is intended to establish a uniform, publicly available, event-based collection of law enforcement CFS data captured through computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.

The proposed platform would use automated data ingestion from CAD systems to standardize statistical data covering criminal and non-criminal police engagements. It would also identify critical data elements for inclusion in CAD software, provide law enforcement agencies with near-real-time information and analytical tools, and support data-informed decision-making for preparedness and response.

The national collection is expected to generate actionable intelligence for evidence-based decisions, support justification of department needs and resources, and disseminate information about law enforcement workload and response.
