DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Nevada is seeking a vendor to develop data-driven guidance related to electric micromobility safety, operations, and infrastructure. The work focuses on creating practical, evidence-based guidance to evaluate micromobility behavior, safety, operational performance, and interactions with infrastructure across a range of roadway and land use contexts.

The selected vendor is expected to document how micromobility users interact with roadways, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, crossings, sidewalks, and curbside environments in representative settings. The project also includes identifying behavioral, operational, and contextual factors associated with higher interaction frequency, conflict potential, or safety risk, such as speed, facility choice, land use, and roadway characteristics.

In addition, the effort will assess interactions between micromobility users and pedestrians, vehicles, bicyclists, transit activity, and other micromobility users in downtown, commercial, and mixed-use areas. The vendor will develop a consistent data collection and evaluation framework, including recommended performance measures and surrogate safety indicators, and produce practical guidance and decision-support tools to support planning, design, operations, policy, and future micromobility implementation efforts.
