DESCRIPTION
The county is seeking a qualified vendor to provide countywide mapping project services, including the acquisition of current color digital orthophotography and updates to existing planimetric feature layers. Vendors are encouraged to propose alternative systems that are equal to or better than the county’s existing format.
The county maintains approximately 200 surveyed GPS ground control stations, many of which have supported previous mapping and orthophoto projects. During February and early March 2027, the contractor will acquire, process, and deliver 3-band, 8-bit color digital aerial imagery for the designated project area. The contractor must also provide a proposed flight line and exposure diagram in a digital format compatible with Autodesk software platforms.
During the aerial imagery mission, the contractor will collect global navigation satellite system and inertial measurement unit data to support the GPS ground control process, including accurate exposure station coordinates and sensor rotation angles for digital aerotriangulation. The contractor will perform digital aerotriangulation and deliver color digital orthoimagery. The contract period will be one year.
