DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will provide professional consulting services for the planning, design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive campus wayfinding program. Responsibilities include strategic planning activities such as reviewing and assessing the current campus circulation, access routes, parking, pedestrian pathways, and building entrances.

The consultant will coordinate with Okanagan College, the Prime Consultant, and the accessibility consultant involved in the Centre for Food, Wine & Tourism project under construction, as well as other relevant stakeholders. Coordination will also cover life safety and occupancy-related signage requirements when necessary. The role requires chairing meetings and stakeholder workshops throughout the project's duration, as well as conducting a gap analysis to identify unaddressed needs.

Design services are an essential component, including the development of scalable signage standards applicable across all campus locations, crafting a hierarchy for signage, establishing nomenclature and numbering standards, and defining messaging strategies. The consultant will design vehicular and pedestrian directional signage and prepare concept designs, design development documentation, and tender-ready documentation.
