Cloud Migration Solution

A district in North Carolina is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive cloud migration solution aimed at modernizing and optimizing its IT infrastructure. The district currently operates a hybrid IT ecosystem that integrates multiple enterprise platforms, including Microsoft services, Google Workspace, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and a Student Information System (SIS).

The primary goals include enhancing scalability to accommodate fluctuating instructional and administrative demands, improving disaster recovery and overall resilience, streamlining IT operations, and achieving cost efficiency through optimized resource utilization and pay-as-you-go models. Additional requirements involve integration with an IDP Cloud landing zone, comprehensive environment assessment and dependency mapping, configuration of secure connectivity (such as VPN or direct connect solutions), and setup of migration toolsets (e.g., HCX, Cloud MGN, Cloud Endure).

Vendors are expected to provide a detailed cloud architecture design document outlining secure, compliant, and scalable cloud environment strategies. They must also deliver a thorough migration runbook and cutover checklist, ensuring the migration process is clearly defined with validation and rollback procedures. The solution should facilitate a transition to a cloud-first strategy, reduce reliance on legacy infrastructure, and enable the district to adopt new technologies more quickly and efficiently.
