A university in South Carolina is seeking a vendor to provide a cloud-based learning management system with artificial intelligence integrations to replace its existing platform. The requested solution must support academic instruction, workforce development, staff development, adult online learning, graduate education, assessment, analytics, accessibility, and institutional integration needs. The platform is expected to be delivered as a Software as a Service solution with high availability, strong security, and regulatory compliance.
The selected vendor will be responsible for provisioning, hosting, and maintaining the LMS, as well as configuration, implementation, and integration with institutional systems. The scope also includes migration of course content from the incumbent LMS, training and change management services, and ongoing support and system enhancements. Required capabilities include role-based access controls, gradebook export and reporting, standardized and version-controlled course templates, mobile-responsive access, and tools for student engagement and communication.
The system must encrypt data at rest and in transit, support standardized course design across academic programs, and provide distinct areas for academic courses. Integrations must enable secure and reliable transfer of grades, attendance data, and academic progress indicators, and the solution must integrate with the university's existing single sign-on environment. Artificial intelligence functionality may be embedded or supported through a third-party component, but embedded AI implementation is required. Questions are due by May 20, 2026, and the anticipated contract term is seven years.
