Belize seeks a vendor to develop and validate a comprehensive climate information communication strategy and action plan for its meteorological service.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have at least five years of experience conducting and reporting on climate information effectiveness assessments.
Must have demonstrated experience in knowledge and gender mainstreaming into stakeholder engagement.
Team Lead must have a master's degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, International Affairs, Political Science, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
Team Lead must have at least five years of experience developing and implementing strategic communications.
Stakeholder Engagement Specialist must have a master's degree or equivalent in Climate Change, Social Sciences, Physical Science, Economic Development, Public Administration, Sustainable Development, Gender Studies, or a related field.
Stakeholder Engagement Specialist must have at least five years of professional experience in climate change, economic development, sustainable development, or natural resource management in the Caribbean.
Must be in compliance with the Money Laundering Laws of Belize and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations.
Must complete the CCCCC's Anti Money Laundering Form.

DESCRIPTION

The Meteorological Service of Belize is seeking a vendor to develop a comprehensive climate information communication strategy and action plan. The strategy should ensure that the content and knowledge products related to climate information are accessible, useful, and effective for all users.

The selected vendor will articulate how climate information will be communicated using various channels and mediums to reach diverse stakeholders across sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, tourism, water, health, forestry, and energy. Responsibilities include conducting an assessment to identify barriers affecting the communication of climate information, developing actions to resolve these barriers, and drafting a communication strategy and action plan. The process also involves hosting a gender and socially inclusive workshop to validate the draft plan with stakeholders.
