DESCRIPTION


The organization is seeking chief technology officer services to develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy aligned with organizational, programmatic, and product priorities. Responsibilities include establishing technology principles, governance processes, investment priorities, annual roadmaps, and technology operating and capital budgets tied to organizational outcomes. The role will also chair the internal AI Committee and guide the organization’s AI vision, enablement strategy, and governing policies.

The CTO will establish organization-wide cybersecurity and risk management practices, including incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning. The role will oversee district technology approvals, security reviews, vendor questionnaires, procurement-related technical documentation, and readiness for audits and compliance reviews.

Additional responsibilities include managing the performance of the managed IT services partner, defining service expectations and escalation processes, and overseeing internal technology operations such as devices, collaboration tools, identity management, networking, and help desk effectiveness. The CTO will establish architecture, integration, technical quality, and platform sustainability standards; oversee application lifecycle management and technical debt prioritization; and partner with data leadership to maintain infrastructure supporting measurement, reporting, impact analysis, and responsible data use.
