The United States Army is conducting market research to identify Commercial Off-the-Shelf solutions for helmet-mounted aviation night vision goggles that can meet or exceed the requirements of the Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging System (ANVIS). The Government is seeking information from industry, including production samples, to support assessment and planning.

Respondents must provide a white paper of no more than 10 pages describing their product and submit at least one production sample for United States Government testing. Submissions should include product specifications such as dimensions, weight, field of view, center resolution, signal-to-noise ratio, gain, and phosphor color; compliance with MIL-PRF-A3279454B and MIL-PRF-A3314408 requirements; approximate unit pricing for quantities up to 17,000; and the manufacturers of the image intensifier tubes and optical assemblies.

Responses should also address optical material composition, interchangeability with components from other manufacturers, field maintenance procedures including image intensifier tube replacement and collimation, compatible government or commercial test sets, monthly production capacity, and the notice required to reach that capacity.
