The City of Redding, California is seeking a qualified vendor to implement and integrate the Aveva PI System into its operational technology environment. The project includes deploying the on-premise Aveva PI software stack, which will serve as a historian, data visualization, and business intelligence analytics platform. The selected vendor will be responsible for establishing seamless connections between the PI system and existing city systems, providing demonstrations and training on integrating various data sources, as well as troubleshooting integration challenges.

Additional responsibilities include building out the asset framework, developing dashboards and trend reports, configuring alerts for key values and metrics, and documenting lifecycle management standards for assets, templates, and hierarchies. The vendor will also develop a logical model for plant and enterprise hierarchies, define relationships between elements and PI Tags, and implement key calculations, event frames, and analytics. The scope further encompasses operational technology networking and cybersecurity, SCADA system virtualization and upgrades, industrial control network design (including configuration of firewalls, network switches, and VPN routers), and comprehensive control system services from design and integration to commissioning and start-up operations. Targeted training solutions are required to ensure users maximize the value of the Aveva PI System.
