DESCRIPTION

Portsmouth Public Schools is soliciting proposals for a term contract to provide architectural and engineering services on an as-needed basis. The scope of work includes design services for new schools, renovations, and additions, as well as evaluations, feasibility studies, field inspections, and various engineering disciplines (structural, electrical, mechanical, and civil). The contract term is one year, with the option to renew for four additional one-year terms. The project fee for any single project shall not exceed $1,000,000, and the sum of all projects performed in one contract term by one firm shall not exceed $5,000,000.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must be authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Must register and participate in the E-Verify program if having more than 50 employees and a contract exceeding $50,000
Must provide proof of insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Employer's Liability ($100,000), Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), and Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence)
Must provide professional liability insurance with limits of $1,000,000 to $2,150,000 per occurrence depending on the specific profession
Must submit an M/WBE Subcontracting Plan
Must provide a qualification statement, contact information, experience list (minimum of three projects), and capacity/capability statement
