The government authority in Wichita, Kansas is seeking architectural and engineering services for the construction and remodeling of a forensic science center laboratory. The selected vendor will be expected to provide multidisciplinary design and planning support, including architecture as well as mechanical, structural, electrical, and civil engineering services.
The scope includes conducting necessary research and field survey work to support the design process, including soil testing. The consultant will also be responsible for developing a project schedule that defines owner costs, consulting and A/E services, programming, design, and construction activities and milestones in coordination with county staff.
The authority is looking for a firm with a proven track record in performance, service, and customer satisfaction, as well as experience developing plans for large-scale laboratory projects and administering multiple projects simultaneously. A pre-proposal walkthrough is scheduled for May 19, 2026, and questions must be submitted by May 29, 2026.
