SUMMARY

CAVHS is seeking information from qualified vendors to develop a 360-degree interactive virtual reality training application designed to assist caregivers and healthcare professionals in managing agitated patients.

DESCRIPTION

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of developing the Agitation 360 program, a 360-degree interactive virtual reality application focused on agitated patients and their caregivers within a simple home environment. The application will allow caregivers, in a virtual setting, to interact with the character of an agitated patient, following a storyboard approach used in prior projects by the Emerging Analytics Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

CAVHS seeks vendors able to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, personnel, supervision, and transportation necessary for the program’s development and delivery. The project is initiated under the VA's Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Centers (GRECC) initiative, aiming to improve care for older Veterans through innovative clinical models and educational tools. The main goal is to enhance training and best practices in managing agitation among elderly patients, providing experiential learning for healthcare professionals and caregivers.

This is a Request for Information (RFI) to assess capabilities and gather responses from small business concerns and other interested vendors. Responses will aid CAVHS in determining competitive sources for this requirement. No solicitation currently exists, and participation is voluntary for market research purposes only.
