The service must accept most common paper submission formats and provide instructors with reports within 60 minutes of submission. Required functionality includes grammar and mechanics checking, embedded and in-text feedback, voice comments, customizable and prebuilt rubrics, reusable comment libraries, and the ability for faculty to submit complete or partial papers for plagiarism review. The originality database must be comparable to or stronger than the current service, including extensive internet content, academic and professional journals, publisher materials, and third-party academic sources.
Additional requirements include support for multiple languages, analytics and annual reporting, and analysis of assignment submissions to identify differences in vocabulary, writing style, and author details. Questions are due by May 20, 2026, and the anticipated contract term is one year.
